Stop Porn Culture’s next Slideshow Training program will be January 15-17, 201o, at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. Gail Dines, Rebecca Whisnant, and Lierre Keith will be the trainers.

Come and get the experience, knowledge, and confidence to talk publicly against pornography in your community. The training will include in-depth presentations on topics such as:

-the links between pornography and violence against women
-background on the economic industry that is pornography
-First Amendment and other free speech issues
-women in the industry
-the sexualization of children
-the question of “alternate” images
-how to organize in your community

We will also have a long session of practicing Q & As in small groups. The training will end with a session on self-care for presenters and activists since, as many of you know, this work can be grueling.
