Stop Porn Culture is planning our next training on how to present our feminist
anti-pornography slideshow. The training will be held at Wheelock College in Boston on June 5-7, 2009. 

Come and get the experience, knowledge, and confidence to talk publicly against pornography in your community. The training will include some in-depth presentations on topics such as:
 -background on the economic industry that is pornography
-First Amendment and other free speech issues
-women in the industry
-the question of "alternate" images
We are asking for a $50 donation to cover our costs, but this can be waived for those who need it. Limited scholarships for travel and expenses are available.  Email us for more information.

The Porn Wars Symposium

Featured speakers are author and professor Jane Caputi who will show her recent film The Pornography of Everyday Life as well as a slide presentation of the prolific pornographic images of Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Barack Obama, and Sarah Palin circulating during this election cycle with a discussion to follow. Feminist law professor and author Ann Scales will present on "New Legal Remedies to the Harms of Pornography" and Matt Ezzell, a leader in the Stop Porn Culture Movement, will present a discussion on "Masculinity and Pop Culture". "Sex[ism], Identity, and Intimacy in a Pornographic Culture: A Multimedia Presentation"
