SPC President and Co-Founder Dr. Gail Dines has initiated an effective campaign to boycott the Fifty Shades of Grey movie and to combat violence against women.
At the core of the campaign is our call to donate $50 to women who are victims of domestic violence, e.g. by donating to a domestic violence shelter, instead of spending $50 on movie tickets for Fifty Shades of Grey and overpriced popcorn.
In the meantime, the social media hashtag #50DollarsNot50Shades and media reports about the campaign have gone viral all over the world thanks to hundreds of thousands of campaign supporters, dizzying press interest and the tireless work of the campaign team.
