Dr Gail Dines has been described as the world’s leading anti-pornography campaigner. In her capacity as a Professor of Sociology and Women’s Studies at Wheelock College in Boston, USA and her co-founding of the feminist activist collective Stop Porn Culture, she has educated, campaigned for and championed women and men against the ‘pornification’ of popular culture, and the objectification, dehumanization and debasement of women in pornography.

In her three books, she has published her findings, research, and critical theory on the porn industry and its affects on wider society and in her articles for publications such as Huffington Post and The Guardian she has outlined the aims of the anti-pornography movement, calling for independent regulation of the pornography industry.
